Knickers for the Redbox at Fizwarren School

Wantage WI keeps on Giving

It is with such shock and horror that we witness war in Ukraine as President Putin invades this independent state. Millions of Ukrainian people are being displayed. This is some of the stuff our ladies donated the the annual meeting.

Monetary donations collected circa the Annual Meeting

A thank you all our ladies for your wonderful donations of
toiletries for ‘clean slate’ the Charity that helps abused women and men.
The lady that Liz had been in contact with (Tracy) came over to collect all the bags and a huge box of miscellaneous items – I cannot tell you how thrilled she was to receive them. They will be given out over the Christmas period.
Thank you again for helping to put a little smile and joy around at what can be a difficult time of the year for many ladies who are suffering at the hands of someone who should be caring and loving them.

Eager little children wondering what goodies the day will bring.

Rita did manage to visit Fitzwaryn Special School on 13th March. She spent an hour there being shown around and observing the work being done. It really is an amazing school with such dedicated staff ensuring that all the children, no matter how severe their problems, achieve their potential. Our £300 cheque was well received by the two Library Ambassadors who told her that it will be spent on “lots more books.” She came away feeling quite emotional and so glad that we could help in some small way.
