Members are asked to fill in a membership form with their details. The details are entered on to a WI database by our President, Rita Hetherington, so that each month a copy of “WI Life” magazine can be posted to them. They will also be asked to fill in a GDPR consent form and a gift aid form.
Subscription 2026/27
Single Membership
Each WI Member pays a subscription fee to cover the cost of her membershipand to help with running the organisation. The 2026/27 subscription is £54, which is split between the WI, federation and the NFWI to help with running individual groups and the organisation as a whole.
Multi-Members
Members of multiple WIs (multi-members) pay £27.10 to each of their additional WIs, on top of their main subscription. There is no pro-rata rate for multiple memberships; the fee is set for the year.
Pro-rata subscriptions for new members
A new member joining the WI for the first time (or who has not been a member of any WI in the 12 months before their joining the WI) pays a pro-rata subscription. This depends on when she joins, as shown in the table below.
Wantage Wi will be charging £50 for single membership and £23.10 to multi members.
Subscription 2025/26
Wantage Wi have reduced this years annual fee by £5 so this years subs will be £46 and £20.60p for duel membership.
This years subscription will run from March to April
In 2021 the annual subscription is £44.
£21.60 will be retained by Wantage WI.
£10.30 goes to Oxfordshire Federation (OFWI)
£12.10 goes to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI).
In 2020, the annual subscription for the full year is £43.00.
£21.10 will be retained by Wantage WI.
£10.00 goes to the Oxfordshire Federation (OFWI).
£11.90 goes to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI).
Ladies joining during 2020 year will pay on a pro rata basis, depending when they join.
Those joining from 1 January to 31 March will pay the full amount, ie, £43.00
Those joining from 1 April to 30 June will pay £32.25
Those joining from 1 July to 30 September will pay £21.50
Those joining from 1 October to 31 December will pay £10.75
This applies to new members only.
New WIs starting in 2020 will keep all of the subscriptions paid by their members in 2020
Dual members will pay £21.10 to their second WI. There is no pro rata rate for dual members.
